’Tis the night before Christmas…
everyone’s tired but nobody wants to sleep yet.
The fire’s going, the house smells like cookies,
and there’s wrapping paper all over the floor.
The tree lights are still on,
someone forgot to turn the TV off,
and the dog keeps staring at the door like he knows something.
Then there’s a noise on the roof.
Probably Santa. Probably just the wind.
Either way, it feels like one of those moments
