Last Christmas brought an unexpected kind of warmth.
While most people were busy with lights, food, and family plans, I was quietly carrying the weight of uncertainty โ applications sent, hopes attached, and a lot of waiting. I didnโt speak much about it. I just kept going, believing that effort would eventually find its way back to me.
Then, during the Christmas week, something changed.
Messages came in, not a notifications, but real words from real people. Recommendations. Support. Someone believed I was worth vouching for. No announcements, no spotlight, just quiet encouragement at the right time. It felt like a gift that didnโt need wrapping. I had interview and damn i got my first job.
There were no fireworks or big celebrations that day. Just a moment of stillness, gratitude, and a small smile. It reminded me that progress doesnโt always arrive loudly โ sometimes it comes softly, when youโre least expecting it.
That Christmas wasnโt about what I received, but about being seen.
And that was more than enough.
