Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the room,
Not a creature was stirring—not even a broom.
The stockings were slung by the mantel with care,
In hopes that St. Nick soon would visit from air.
 
The fire softly crackled, a warm amber glow,
While frost painted stars on the cold window’s show.
I curled in a blanket, cocoa in hand,
As the house held its breath, quiet, still, and so grand.
 
When out on the porch there arose such a sound,
A jingle, a thud, then a scrape all around.
I tiptoed to peek, heart light as a feather,
And there—oh what magic—through cold winter weather,
 
A sleigh dusted silver, eight reindeer in steam,
As if they’d leapt straight from a half-forgot dream.
With a wink and a grin, and boots white with snow,
He whispered, “Merry Christmas,” delight all aglow.
 
Then quick as a spark, he was gone from my sight,
Leaving warmth, hope, and wonder to last through the night.
So snuggle in close, let the fire burn bright—
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night. 🎄✨
