Tis the night before Christmas and on my way home from work, I saw an old man sitting alone at the bus stop, shivering without a coat. Everyone walked past him, rushing to get home before the snow got heavier.
 
For some reason, I stopped.
I offered him my scarf and asked if he needed help.
He smiled weakly and said he was just trying to get to the shelter across town but had no money left for the bus.
 
So I walked with him,one slow step at a time, through the quiet snowy streets. It took us almost an hour, but he kept telling stories about the Christmases he used to spend with his family.
 
When we arrived, he squeezed my hand and said,
“Thank you for seeing me. Tonight, you gave me my Christmas.”
 
That night, I realized not all miracles are magical,some are just kindness.
