„Meinen Sie wir müssen nach Victoria?“ fragte ich erstaunt. „Ich denke schon, denn sonst gibt es keinerlei Hinweise, außer diesem.“ Sagte Sie und zückte Ihr Telefon.
„Hallo, der nächste Anhaltspunkt bringt uns nach Victoria. Prüfen Sie bitte, ob wir dort einen Informanten in der Nähe haben und buchen Sie uns direkt Flüge dorthin. In Ordnung wir werden bis morgen früh warten.“ Sie legte auf.
„Liegt Victoria nicht in Kanada?“ fragte ich. „Korrekt wir müssen weiter nach Kanada, aber erstmal gehen wir was gutes Essen“ Bekam ich als Antwort.

Schon wieder so ein langer Flug, dachte ich mir und wir gingen gemeinsam ins Restaurant.
„Sagen Sie, Sie begleiten mich schon eine ganze Weile, haben Sie nichts anderes zu tun?.“
„Nö, ich finde es lustig mit Ihnen und außerdem kann ich sie gut leiden.“ sagte Frau Sanja.
Leicht beschämt schaute ich auf meinen Teller. Ich kam mir vor wie in diesen Anime Serien, wenn die Figuren immer so kurz rot werden. ^^
Nachdem Essen verabschiedeten wir uns und gingen getrennte Wege.
Am nächsten Morgen wartete Frau Sanja bereits auf mich und lächelte mir entgegen.
„Wir haben Tickets und der Informant in Kanada ist auch schon informiert. Wir können also los.“ Sagte Sie und ehe uns wir versahen, saßen wir im Flieger nach Victoria.
Wir sind ohne Probleme am Zielort angekommen.
„Wir müssen ins Mladen Pub. Wir treffen dort in 30 Minuten auf den Informanten“ sagte sie und wir suchten uns eilig ein Taxi.
Gefunden, eingestiegen losgefahren. In der Reihenfolge lief es ab und nach ca. 15 Minuten erreichten wir auch schon das Pub, indem der Informant wartete.
„Wie finden wir ihn?“ fraget ich. „Er soll eine schwarze kappe aufhaben und das dort scheint er zu sein.“
„Guten Abend. Neulich im Supermarkt habe ich Bananen gekauft.“ Sagte Frau Sanja.
Die Gestalt an dem kleinen Tisch blickte uns an und sagte
„Hoffentlich waren keine grünen dabei.“
„Herr Stapel, das ist unser Informant.“ Wir nahmen an dem kleinen eckigen Tisch platz und der Informant schob uns mit dem Zeigefinger die Ländermarke über den Tisch und zog einen Zeitungsauschnitt aus der Tasche und gab ihn mir.
„Ich schätze das ist beides für Sie.“ Sagte er und weiter
„Was ich Sie nun hören, wurde mir heute Nacht persönlich mitgeteilt und man händigte mir diesen Zeitungsausschnitt aus. Hören Sie bitte gut zu.
Er nahm ein Aufnahmegerät auf der anderen Tasche und drückte „PLAY“.

Ich nahem den Zeitungsausschnitt und die Marke, welche ich direkt auf meine Karte klebte.

Frau Sanja hatte derweil schon bestellt und der Kellner brachte Ihr einen Martini klassisch und mir einen Pott Kaffee. Soso, dachte ich, sie kennt schon meine Vorzüge… Ach das war bestimmt Zufall, widmen wir uns der Aufgabe. Ich nahm einen großen Schluck und schaut auf den Ausschnitt.

El neón parpadeante formó un rostro espectral, sus ojos incandescentes fijos en Eddie. El silencio del casino se hizo más denso, asfixiante.
"La ficha final, Eddie," siseó una voz que no venía de ninguna parte y de todas a la vez. El click-clack de las fichas en la mesa se reanudó, pero ahora sonaba como el golpeteo de huesos. Eddie sintió un frío glacial, no de aire acondicionado, sino de una presencia. Al mirar de nuevo la pantalla, el saldo no era un número, sino una cuenta regresiva: 00:00:03.
Él intentó correr, pero sus pies estaban anclados al suelo de moqueta roja, una alfombra que ahora parecía palpitar. Las máquinas tragamonedas alrededor se encendieron de golpe, no con luces festivas, sino con un destello carmesí que gritaba. Eddie extendió la mano hacia la puerta, la veía a metros, una promesa de luz. 00:00:01.
"¡Stake siempre gana!", rugió la voz, y en ese instante, el suelo se abrió bajo sus pies. No había un sótano, solo una caída negra y profunda. Lo último que vio fue el logo del casino, sonriéndole desde arriba, mientras la cuenta regresiva llegaba a 00:00:00. Ahora Eddie era solo una ficha más en el juego eterno. Y la rueda seguía girando
