🎃 The Pumpkin That Remembered
-Every Halloween, no one dared go near the Weatherby house. Its porch was lined with hundreds of glowing pumpkins—each with a different face.
One Halloween night, a boy named Milo stole a small pumpkin from the yard. As he carried it away, it grew warm in his arms and whispered, “I remember you.”
He froze. “You’ve got the wrong person,” he stammered.
The pumpkin tilted. “No. You wore his face.”
By morning, a new pumpkin sat on Mrs. Weatherby’s porch—small, with terrified eyes and a mouth frozen mid-scream.
And if you listened closely… you could still hear it breathe…
