Behind the House”
Every night, Liza heard rustling behind their old house in the province.
She thought it was just a cat. But one night, curiosity got the better of her.
In the moonlight, she saw a woman sitting beneath the mango tree — long hair covering her face, eating something.
When the woman noticed her, she looked up… and smiled.
Blood on her lips.
And in her lap — the head of a cat.
Terrified, Liza ran back inside.
Her mother was there, standing with her back turned.
“Mom…” she whispered.
Slowly, the woman turned around.
It wasn’t her mother’s face.
