“The Girl in the White Dress”
On Halloween night, Shota stayed home to hand out candy.
By 9 p.m., the streets were quiet—until he heard a soft knock at the door.
A little girl stood there, wearing a white dress, her face hidden by long black hair.
“…Trick or treat,” she whispered.
Shota smiled and reached for some candy—
but her hand grabbed his wrist, freezing cold.
“You already gave me candy,” she said softly.
“Last year.”
Then she vanished into the dark,
leaving only the faint rustle of a torn paper bag in the wind.
