Kate Posted July 25, 2018 #2 Posted July 25, 2018 Samsung already did a mining rig with s7 edges and 90 of them

Owl182 Posted July 25, 2018 #9 Posted July 25, 2018 I'd have to say (in my opinion) smartphone technology just isn't fast enough to use for mining without linking multiple processors to get the hash speed high enough to be viable then you also need to account for the ambient temperature and operating temperature under load or your just going to find they are not stable or burn out... so i think if Samsung is going to go for this you'll probably see something vastly different to what you may expect...

Well if you are talking about 1 single phone mining then yeah but I'd 50 phones then you are wrong. A phone can get 20 Hashrate per in the lowest power consumption option second if there were 20 phones then 20x20 = 400 Hashrate and that's more than my computer can even get.
Owl182 Posted July 25, 2018 #11 Posted July 25, 2018 Sure, i dont disagree with you but when there are proper miners that run at 24TH/s why bother with the hassle of setting up mobile devices to do so ?
wilbur Posted July 25, 2018 Author #12 Posted July 25, 2018 my face has a questionmark when i read about mining using smartphones lol i think they will do something different

If we can buy phones at a cheaper rate then that would be good. But those 24TH/s miners are running real equipments which costs above 2000 dollars and I am 99% sure not even all of them made back what they invested.
