Why Does Stake Not Communicate Better?

Obviously I am a strong Stake fan!  I like the variety of games and the support team and mods are great.  I really enjoyed @Edward taking the time to stream some of the history of Stake yesterday, (though giving 500 USD to an obvious alt/opportunistic person, come on man!) as well as all the other streams, it is fun to put people's faces with their names.

Given that Stake makes a big deal about having it's own forum (they even pay us to post!) and has twitter and discord I don't understand why they don't share things a little bit better.  For example, right now the site is down for many users.  What's going on?  Is it just routine?  Is it an attack?  I realize there are some rumors floating around on the Discord channel, but come on, why not 1 minute for a post here or a twitter announcement.

If there are security issues I can see why you would not want to post that, and since there are no public investors it's not as big of a deal as it would be at some other site, e.g. Just-Dice, Bitvest, but it's still a bit unprofessional and so easy to fix.

I also thought Stake would have communicated better regarding this - especially since this could cause major panic in people which large balances in Stake.

I did get confirmation from a mod that Stake will be up in around 8 hours :)

Hang in there guys!!

Hey guys.

We did not and are not facing any security issues, no need to be worried.

As a matter of fact, there was an explanation on Bitcointalk, so if you don't mind, I will share it here:

Sunna: "Yes, just the front-end. Unfortunately our host that delivers front-end to users are experiencing significant downtime and didn't alert anyone. We are getting ready to put the front-end back up by other means."

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience that the issue may have caused.

Should you have any additional questions or need some help, just reach us out. :)

Thank you @Katarina I did message one of the mods, and they were pretty helpful. I think it would just give people more piece of mind if these things were posted on twitter, or perhaps even an "official post" on this forum, that way you will also eliminate all the other posts of people asking if Stake is down :)

Thank you for the update :)

Thanks, I found that but even it was in response to a complaint about the site being down.  @Katarina can I safely take it that Bitcointalk is the best place to find out what is going on with the site?  Thanks!

Well in a way i agree with you wry. Seriously stake should've done an update or something like the site is down due to some issues or somethings and maybe those kind of things could be handled by a moderator who is given info by the support team or the support team itself or hire a person to do that. Since most newbies would think oh nice i deposit and my earnings all gone. Which is really really bad for the site's first impressions.

They should have a banner displaying any current or future events on the front page

Umm making a banner is not efficient enough better is like a list of whats going on or a thread about it
