Kargai Posted September 3, 2018 #1 Posted September 3, 2018 Asian countries (Japan include) like cryptos. Lots of big projects come from there (Binance, Kucoin, NEO, ...) and even when we saw China & co trying to regulate ICO & co that mean the interest exist. So there is a lot of trials and new projects launch like Tsukuba just did recently. They tested a voting system based on blockchain technology. To vote each person had to use his Number Card (a specific 12-digit ID number issued to all citizens of Japan including foreign residents) to be sure that there was only 1 vote for each resident. The vote was about 13 social programs and the people had to choose which one they prefer. But the most important thing is that blockchain was use to avoid the falsification of results and it seem to be successful. It was more easy to implement that what they had thought at first place. Tsubuka is not the 1st one to use this system (it was already done in Switzerland in july) but it's just another proof that blockchains are actually in the democratization process everywhere Source : https://cointelegraph.com/news/japanese-city-tsukuba-trials-blockchain-based-voting-system
xtinepink Posted September 3, 2018 #2 Posted September 3, 2018 Wow this is amazing. I mean what really blockchain can do. I never thought that it can be done like that. It should be use in my country like seriously those voting systems since here they do old style way especially on elections and it can really help avoid those cheating and falsifications.
