Can someone explain this to me?

My friend wagered $19,000 and lost $2,500 and got $85 weekly bonus and he is in bronze 

I wagered $67,000 and won $2,000 and got $55 weekly bonus and i am in gold.

His vip level is lower so he got less as the calculation percentage is less.
