Blackjack Strategy

Hi guys, just wondering about the game Blackjack.

First, for this game, is only one deck being used? I heard that one deck gives a lower house edge compared to multiple decks.

Second, do I need to deviate from the basic strategy if only one deck is being used at a time?

Last, I also read that taking insurance is worse when only one deck is used, so should i not bother at taking insurance when I have blackjack versus a dealer's Ace?

Thanks, let me know!

Its not the same as losing, insurance saves you half from what wouldve been a definite full loss.

Id like to see some strats for Blackjack too tho. Sorry i dont have any to offer

to answer you. no the game doesn't use one deck. it use infinite deck, and the more deck, the better chance for you (you can compared 4 and 8 deck house edge here https://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/calculator/)

aside from in that topic: dealer doesn't peek for blackjack

as for strategy, do not take insurance at all.

i'm also using this basic strategy (doesn't change much from standard chart tho)

+ hit, x double, // split, = stand

be careful about house edge tho, unlike other game. blackjack house edge isn't a fix value and depend on how you play (while 0.4 is the best case when you play every hand correctly) and don't use martingale on blackjack because double and split can screw your up (if you don't use double nor split the house edge will increase)

For the insurance, yea i also never take insurance and i think it's no need to takin insurance on blackjack. Just read on other comments and it's from infinite decks.

dont play blackjack too long , just use it for a quick flip :)

Totally agreed, especially on online casino. It's good for a short time playing blackjack but not for long time
