77kdub Posted September 8, 2018 #1 Posted September 8, 2018 I'm not sure what Stakes purpose or motive is for limiting the number of affiliate commission withdrawals per 24 hour period, but I for one am not very happy about it. It wouldn't be so bad if the faucet still allowed unlimited daily claims but not only is it limited once again but both the amount & number of claims per 24 hour period have been cut in half as well. I'd like to here your guy's thoughts on the matter.
Realraidengod Posted September 9, 2018 #2 Posted September 9, 2018 don't know why it's necessary to even put a limit on commission its your "own" money and the faucet limits suck. they could just build a faucet system based on your level and if you want to put on daily claim put it on the new accounts and people who don't deposit in a period short of time really miss the old stake before this update
badger Posted September 9, 2018 #3 Posted September 9, 2018 The affiliate comm wd daily limit is right up there on the list of stupid Stake bs. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen one Stake update that didn’t just wreck everything. Who are these people?! And wtf are they doing, other than breaking what wasn’t broken. The new chat format is beyond awful, fk timestamps, chat scrolls fast enuf you can see what time it is by the time that message is no longer readable. Can anyone pm? I can’t, and my messages are gone. I had info in my messages I like to have handy when I need it. Ugh. I should start a topic, I guess. But yes dubly, I told myself there was some huge endless paperwork fiasco involved with the aff comm wd, and the repeated wd that was being done on such a magnificent scale all day every day by every player was causing the unbearable lag, and Stake was just trying to fix the lag, cuz they know how much we hate it.... This wasn’t the case?!
AquaViki Posted September 9, 2018 #4 Posted September 9, 2018 As the traffic to a site increases, it brings in miscreants as well along with a good crowd. People whose sole purpose is to game the system somehow and make an exit. To try and keep such possiblities in check is something the stake team has to do proactively. Cannot put in systems after something has happened because that leads to a big loss. I agree the reduction in faucet is troublesome. But they must have seen some merit in the decision that they implemented it. We use a site till we find it useful then just go on to the site which gives better features. The site that operates in the same way for long doesn't last long. Either it runs out of creative content to hold its traffic or runs out of balance trying to maintain a high traffic. So updates at intervals are a good indication that a site is trying to survive and grow and last.
PuffCloud Posted September 9, 2018 #5 Posted September 9, 2018 sounds to me like a very dumb thing to do but im sure they do it possibly to limit affil abuse or something. thats the only thing i can think of that would be reasoning behind it.
77kdub Posted September 9, 2018 Author #6 Posted September 9, 2018 well I didn't want to say it but yes this update wasn't an improvement at all, in fact I feel it was almost a step backwards. Seems like the bugs should really be worked out before the update is actually released. Major bugs that have already once been fixed have returned again. Things just don't seem to be very well planned out like they could be but I guess Stake knows what they are doing.
PuffCloud Posted September 9, 2018 #7 Posted September 9, 2018 yes i agree. update did make things look cooler somewhat but in all had a negative outcome that overpowers the UI changes. they need to start doing their updates on some secret test server or something. but i have some faith, lets just hope we arent waiting 5 months for bug fixes.
Kate Posted September 9, 2018 #8 Posted September 9, 2018 Ok with the affiliate commission i guess its okay but faucet limit wtf seriously stake ? @Edward hopefully something gets done
