We all know the giant Amazon which represent almost 40% of the total online sales in the USA. It made sense that they'll want to implement crypto payment at one point, but will they offer an already known crypto (as BTC) or their own one ? Both ?

In this article the author believe Amazon will launch his own one at one point in the future : https://townhall.com/columnists/jeffbrown/2018/09/19/future-wealth-why-amazon-will-launch-its-own-cryptocurrency-n2520178

He see multiple reasons why they could do it : they registered some domain names around crypto, they usually are big with new tech (cloud services, the Echo, Kindle, and Fire devices) and they have a large community + a full ecosystem to run the coin on (purchase object, buy app & e-books, buying services, ...).

Basically all they lack is an exchange where people could buy their coins vs real money and spend them when prices are more interesting for them. Not a so big deal.

So what are you thinking about it? Do you believe we will see an Amazon coin soon ?

I  dont think amazone  need a  decentralised  money they  already have a secure payment systyem  with  Twitch bits.  But maybe  they  gonna   create a crypto actif  like   ripple did ... and we could invest more in amazone ^^  they   arent  rich enough ^^

They basically already have Amazon USD via their Amazon cash and gift cards.  Not sure what a crypto would get them, but they seem to be bit on trotting out anything that will get them some headlines.  I would not expect it unless BTC moons again and crypto is getting lots of good press.

I really don't see any point in them doing that. I agree with weary the Amazon cash and gift cards gift cards seem to be enough. But you never know it could be successful we'll just have to wait and see
