During Easter, my favorite tradition is a unique Hungarian custom called "locsolkodás" or Easter sprinkling. It’s a long-standing folk tradition where, on Easter Monday, boys and men visit girls and women to sprinkle them with perfume or water. Traditionally, this act symbolizes renewal and fertility for the spring season.

Before sprinkling, it's common to recite a short, funny or charming poem. In return, the "sprinklers" receive gifts — typically red-dyed eggs, chocolate bunnies, or sometimes even a little drink. As a kid, I loved it for the chocolate; as an adult, I enjoy it for the social visits and festive atmosphere. It’s a fun and heartwarming tradition that brings people together every year!
