The delay depends on how big was the transaction fee you paid (bigger fees get priority for transferring over small fees) and the delay also depends on how busy is the blockchain (how much people are trying to send BTCs at the same time as you). The transaction starts moving thru several computers in the BTC network, and starts getting confirmations (confirmations that is a well-done transaction). At Stake your transaction only needs 1 confirmation to appear.
