I was on the other site a way to avoid captcha when claiming faucet - you can pay with points. Maybe there should be an option on stake to pay with 1 satoshi from forum balance when claiming the faucet? Or for those who are not on the forum maybe get that payment from other balances. Captcha would still stay but there will be an option to choose. People are really tired of captcha. I know claiming faucet wasn't suppose to be easy and it's protection against abuse and bots so the captcha must stay, but bots won't have forum balance, so...

The captcha's only reason of existance is, that it avoids abusing of the faucet. It's there for this particular reason and won't ever be removed. More likely is the complete wipe out of faucets, because 5 sats are nothing and it's just there to test a few games. The idea with the 1 satoshi takes the sense away though... 5 sats faucet and 1 sat taken away because youre to lazy to press a few buttons. Not sure if thats making a lot of sense :?

Not sure if thats making a lot of sense :? Yes I'm lazy to press a few buttons of course with btc it might not make sense but with other currencies yes. So you can claim 0.5 doge and pay 1 sat on the forum for that.
irawk0 Posted October 18, 2018 #4 Posted October 18, 2018 Captcha takes like 1-2 seconds to do, and I definitely am willing to put up with it if it means even a 1% less chance of being abused by bots/alts etc. Side note, I'd rather prefer faucet being gone. Rather no faucet than seeing the words "sad day" and "busted" about a million times a day in chat.

The captcha is to prevent botting and ddos. Something that we can't afford to remove because otherwise the server gets swarmed and the site becomes laggy. We experimented with no captcha in the past and were forced to add it to help keep the site running smoothly for our players. Its entertaining hearing people complain about how difficult it is to get free money.

First I saw ppl complained about getting harder to cash out without even contributing, I saw several bragging about having a withdraw only by betting the faucet on the x1000 chartbet (in-game chat) If you want money the best way to get it is working, you earn more in less time.

Thanks to Captcha people have to solve the images to get their sats. Also rich people still claim the faucet because they have busted the rest of the balance i am sure everyone here in Stake who is rich has at least claimed the faucet more than 10 times
ceastem Posted October 19, 2018 #12 Posted October 19, 2018 captcha is mostly good for me. it is good for keeping bots out of farming faucets. without this, surely there will be bots claiming the faucets everytime it cools down everyday on diifferent accounts. what i hate about it probably is about when i get it wrong sometimes. i know what a freaking fire hydrant looks like for god sake. but it still does not accept sometimes. and sometimes you need to answer 2 in order to verify.

It will make unstable connection or even get worse, like DDoS. I dont want to Stake get DDoS. I dont really mind to claim free money faucets using captcha, because it's free money. It just a simple step to get it, you would get 98% to lose it right? 😄
