Has anyone crunched the numbers for mines/diamonds and how it affects the multipler?

Which combo would have the highest multiplier?

Im not great at math. But curious to know if anyone else does lol

Thanks guys

I think they should have a specific payout chart made for this game.

If they did it would be great because it would show you what multipliers are/could be given for however many diamonds you guess correctly based on how many mines there are in each game.

Would be cool though, because then people will try to aim for these specific multipliers.

For those who are wondering, here's how the maths works.

House Edge: 0.99
Equation: House Edge * (1 / ( Number of Gems Available / Number of Tiles Available ) )

Explanation: For each gem you reveal, you multiply the above equation with itself, minus one available gem and one tile.

Here is an example of three gem reveals with a 5 bomb game.

0.99 * (1 / (20 / 25)) * (1 / ( 19 / 24)) * (1 / ( 18 / 23))

To assist, here is an excel spreadsheet with the calculations. Simply input the number of bombs you wish to play.

Mines.xlsx

this would be useful for gem hunting . thanks

I made an online calculator for this:

https://repl.it/M3Rc/4

It's a bit ugly user interface, but it works.

Press "run" first to start the program, then enter the values of "mines" and "diamonds" in the right pane. Don't change the left pane unless you know what you are doing.

Feel free to reuse the code in your own projects.
