Name Changing

Hey guys!

So this is a problem with more than half of us active and dedicated users. We first register to the site under a username, thinking we probably won't play much on the site, but get addicted to it  and play a lot on the site and have usernames with 4-5 numbers and usernames that dont make sense to ourselves, let alone others

I think there should be an option for changing your username once in your lifetime and the previous username should be visible on the user's profile. This way, scammers won't escape and people will also get a username they want.

Besides, it'll be easier for us to remember people's names lol

This actually sounds nice, Im 100% pleased with my name but I know people who's not. They should get a chance to change that!

Changing name is too much effort as it may get some corruption. If you need a new name make another account instead. Beside it will be a mess if a change name to b and then suddenly c change name to a.

I  don't know about other people but everyone kinda knows me by mlc and seen as i only have one account im not really bothered about changing it , might be good for others who feel they cant live with the name they chose but , its not like it effects life in general , ❤️

You always have the option of making a new account then announcing that the new account name is legit.

I think people would change their name too often if this were the case, and then none of us would be able to keep track of whos who.

Here^ You're allowed to change only once. Not more. That way people wont get confused or be able to scam

That's a good idea, maybe the mods can add the minimum wager must be 10 BTC or more to change a name.

I think this would be cool, but for a site that considers reputation, and stores records of gameplay, name change won't be applicable. Users should actually be decided on their ID's upon registering. But then again, the idea is lit. 👍

This can have pretty significant complications in various ways. Perhaps a good idea, but logistically could be a bit of a struggle. I'll submit it as a potential feature in the distant future.

I think you should only be able to change name once! Not more than once!

I don't really like this change name because you can make confusion about peoples. 

If someone used your old name, and using that for scam. It would be bad, or even after scamming, he change his name.  

Only my opinion, but I would like to see it, even I didn't use it. 

I just thinking any bad scenario, so we can prevent those things.

If this was implemented I think the old username of the user should show somewhere so you can check, also the username someone has had before should not be possible to change into within a certain time of changing!

I believe so. Maybe this is a good suggestion about changing name too. I believe this suggestion added at future implementation.

If they add this function to Stake, I believe this is a must as the scam factor would be high otherwise!
