Chat Too Crowded?

I noticed over the months the number of users online at any given time is now 900+ when it used to be that busy only at peak hours. Obviously the more popular the site gets, the busier chat will be but I'm wondering what could be done to actually be able to chat with others instead of getting your message lost in a sea of spam. What do you guys think of multiple chat rooms or private rooms that you can manage yourself or just leaving it the way it is? I'm thinking that in like a years time this might become a much bigger issue.

well you can limit it to see your messages from friends only.

but i agree with you that the chat is too crowded nowadays and its extremely problematic especially with the bug on chat where we can't scroll up.

our messages just get lost in the sea of "wow", "nice tips", "nice rain" "thanks rain". haha

The chat is definitely crowded, but it's not a problem for me. I have ignored a few users who are known to complain and beg, so for me the chat is much more pleasant. Don't be afraid to ignore people, it is a wonderful tool :)

I think this makes sense. Because most people here are passive begging all the time and there's rarely any good conversation.

And ceastem is so right. There's always a swarm of beggars just saying "Nice tip" or "Wow" or "I wish I was as lucky as him" or something.

Personally im so upset with all the changes stake has make recently and chat is the number one upset. I think chat should have been left alone . The look the spammers everything sucks in chat now thats why i havent been there so much lately. And my pm's stilll dont work something has got to be done

Chat consists of the same 20 people for most of the time. The user number includes people from other language chatrooms, afks, alts, etc. So 1000 users isn't that much to be honest :P And I would love chat to be more active... o.O

I think recently for sure the most noticeable thing is for new unfamiliar names to be popping up. :P It might even possible to actually be old members for whatever reason under a new username too.

I like that there's alot of people in chat, as long as they don't spam. I have ignored a few people that I think are annoying but I like that Stake has alot of people online! We are growing! :D

I do agree with this, this big increase in players was because of the new sponsors to stake and all the twitter giveaways. I normally just ignore those people so i can only read the messages from people i like and know for a long time.

Exactly, just ignore the people you don't want to see and you will be golden! ;)

There are other pages that are way worse than this.

use tagging for messages. Tagged messages get highlighted when you receive one. And if the chat is too busy, it’s either chat OR gambling.
