…when the world outside seemed to pause, wrapped in a blanket of silence... hmmmmmm hmmmm

The fire crackled softly, its warmth spreading through the room, while the shadows of the night danced lightly on the walls. The air was crisp, yet inside, everything felt cozy, as though the house itself was waiting for something special.

Through the window, the snowflakes fell gently, each one unique, adding to the quiet beauty of the night. Inside, the tree stood adorned with love, its lights casting a soft glow, and the stockings hung with care, as though they knew something magical was just around the corner.

It was the night before Christmas, when the world holds its breath, hearts beat a little faster, and hope fills the air like the first snowfall

I'll go locally here, in nigeria we don't believe in Santa per se,but here's one story I've heard.

Growing up Christmas used to be fun, decorations to the fact but the older we goyo the lesser the decorations came and the celebrations less and less elaborate yilo we are at a point where we don't know who will save Christmas this year, the government? External bodies? Personally you stake can save Christmas for me and those immediately around me, but who knows, I haven't been lucky enough this period, maybe this once I will.

Stake save my Christmas.

Tis the night before Christmas. And I had fun on stake. But my account was emptied, and I became sad. But I heard a sound, yes, I recognized the sound, it was a Christmas bonus from Stake. Thank you, Stake, and Merry Christmas

Under Lapland snow so white,
Daddy reindeer slips — what a sight!
Mom laughs loud, the calves do too,
“Christmas is coming, no time to boo!”

They pull the sleigh, round and proud,
The youngest lost his pacifier — not allowed!
Ho ho ho, the wind says right:
“Merry Christmas, reindeer delight!”

Merry Christmas happy Stake Family @Eddie

Enjoy 🎆

Tis the night before Christmas…

…and I was scrolling through my contacts, wondering if I should call my father.

We hadn’t spoken in almost two years. Pride can be such a stubborn thing.

I hovered my thumb over his name for a long time.

Then the thought hit me:

"Someone has to be the first to try"

So I called.

There was silence… then his familiar voice, shaky but warm:

“I was hoping you’d call tonight.”

We talked for an hour—about nothing, about everything.

And when the call ended, it felt like a weight I’d carried for years had finally been lifted.

Sometimes, the best Christmas gift…

is a second chance.

’Tis the Night Before Christmas
’Tis the night before Christmas, all silent, all still—
No stir in the house, no joy to fulfill.
Stockings drooped empty, by embers so bare,
Waiting for Santa, who never came there.
Little Emma curled tight by the fire’s last gasp,
Daddy’s locket crushed to her chest in her clasp.
His voice haunts her dreams: “I’ll be home for the snow,”
But the war stole him gone, twelve Christmases ago.
Tears carve her face raw; she wails to the dark,
“Mommy, it hurts—ripping my heart apart!”
Mama sinks down, broken, her own sobs a knife,
Clutching their girl as life’s meaning turns rife.
No reindeer, no magic—just wind’s cruel keen,
Then a bell chimes faint, like his laugh in between.
In that shattering hush, love’s ghost wraps them whole:
Daddy’s embrace, mending two shattered souls.
Christmas? Just him—their forever-lit flame,
Burning eternal through endless, cold pain.

Tis the night before Christmas, when all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

But glowing screens flickered with hope and delight,

As dreamers stayed up chasing fortune that night.

The stockings were hung with a gambler’s belief,

That luck comes to those who persist through defeat.

Then out on the lawn there arose such a cheer,

It wasn’t just Santa — good fortune was near.

With a wink and a grin, the night whispered true,

That Christmas brings magic for me and for you.

So I closed my eyes smiling, one thought in my head:

May luck find us all before morning’s first spread. 🎄

Tis the night before Christmas, and all through the land
The creatures were stirring, with a magical hand
The moon was shining bright, a silver glow
Illuminating the snow, in a winterly show

In a small village, nestled in the German hills
Lived a young girl named Sophie, with a heart full of thrills
She'd been good all year, no tantrums or frown
She'd written her letters, to the Weihnachtsmann, with a hopeful crown

Once upon a time, there lived a small village where everyone was preparing for Christmas. People decorated their houses with garlands and put up Christmas trees. Everyone was expecting a miracle.

One family, a mother, father, and their little son, Timka, had very little money. They couldn't buy a Christmas tree or presents. But Timka was very kind and always dreamed of making a holiday for his parents.

One day, Timka decided to make a gift himself. He collected old toys he had and decorated a small Christmas tree he found in the forest. He drew cards and wrote on them, "Merry Christmas! I love you!"

When Christmas came, Timka's parents saw how hard he had worked. They were very touched and happy. They spent the evening together, singing songs and telling stories. At that moment, they realized that the most important thing in the holiday isn't gifts, but love and caring for each other.

From then on, their home was always filled with an atmosphere of warmth and joy, and they knew that even without big gifts, they could create a real miracle.

Tis the night before Christmas, when all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.”

The fire softly crackled, a warm amber glow, Casting shadows that danced on the ceiling below.

Outside, winter whispered in silvered delight, As the moon painted rooftops a luminous white.

The children lay dreaming of wonders untold, Of sleigh bells and laughter and stories of old.

When suddenly—hark!—from the hush of the night, Came a clatter of magic, a sound of delight.

Up to the window I tiptoed with cheer, Heart pounding softly with childlike fear.

And there in the sky, as clear as could be, A sleigh drawn by reindeer came gliding to me.

With a jolly old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment—it had to be St. Nick.

He laughed as he worked, then gave a wink, And vanished like starlight before I could think.

The fire burned low, the house held its breath, Wrapped in a peace that felt warmer than warmth itself.

And long after footsteps had faded from sight, The night still seemed to whisper:

“Merry Christmas to all… and to all a good night.” 🎄

A Letter To Santa,

In this heartfelt letter to Santa, the author requests intangible gifts: patience, understanding, wisdom, and thoughtfulness for family, joyous spirit, critical self-reflection, and a sense of fellowship to bring happiness and relief to others. The letter concludes with a request for faith in the teachings of the one whose birthday Christmas celebrates.

The Christmas chill in Pune seeped into my bones, colder than the ₹8,000 school fee I couldn’t pay. Five years ago, a desperate lottery ticket had won me ₹10000—a miracle that now felt like a forgotten tale. Tonight, hope was gone. Walking home past glowing cafes, I used his last fifty rupees—a gift from a lonely neighbor—to buy a single, foolish ticket for old time’s sake. I scratched it under a streetlamp, the frozen air catching in my throat.

₹10,000.

It wasn’t just the money. It was the universe whispering back, a quiet echo of the kindness I'd just been shown. The second miracle wasn't blind luck; it was a answered prayer, wrapped in the silence of a holy night.
