Lestat- Posted November 23, 2018 #1 Posted November 23, 2018 Is there a rules on creating a topic? Like minimum/maximum words to use? That it should be in long sentences? Topics is different from stories right? Just like what the forum says: "Create New Topic" shouldn't it be short and precise? The word TOPIC itself "a matter dealt with in a text, discourse, or conversation; a subject." Topic, You make a Title, a subject! Then It should be discussed right? and there comes the long sentences because were conversing! we're exchanging thoughts and opinions. Of course, we have always different opinions right? Thats why topics are created, topics need answers.. There's someone who will agree and there's also someone who wouldn't. Its just normal right?

If you ask a question in the topic, make sure that you discuss the question, and provide your insight first. Already read the rules. Just referring to others whos just commenting on other users telling its a spam, irrelevant, if ur not happy dont play, it should be this, it should be that. bla bla bla bla We have mods to do that job.. right? Thats why its called a topic? needs to be discussed.
Snike Posted November 23, 2018 #4 Posted November 23, 2018 This is a forum discussion (You've posted it in the wrong sec) but I aggree on your point with different opinions! Rather ask once than do it wrong
Mikehoncho Posted November 23, 2018 #5 Posted November 23, 2018 This is an interesting topic to discuss! I think a discussion about acceptable Topics and posts need to take place. Maybe we can stop some of the pointless reposts.
Kate Posted November 23, 2018 #6 Posted November 23, 2018 Ok I agree that a topic is for discussion but when you create a topic it cant just be like : "Stake should create a crypto exchange ?" Not like that. If you are posting a topic then you should at least give more info on what the exchange would be useful for ? And give some more info on the feature like maybe they could create a limit or something which comes to your mind. Blankly just writing something you think that is of one sentence is always considred a spam ( I think so ).

At least write a few sentences saying how you feel about the topic, and explain it in more detail. On any forum, dedicating an entire post for just one phase or sentence looks like spam. Just my opinion

They telling the problem, and his knowledge about the topic he started with. And yes, because of paid per post, we can't separate the topic and the title. In order to prevent spam creating topic, they separate it and paid you from your writing. It was my opinion, but I'm still agree with you about it. I wonder what changes will do if this.

Yeah other intelligent users always consider few word topics and reply a "spam" then what about this one? Lol 22 hours ago, williamshennie9 said: I completely agree. This should be considered as "spam" based on your used of words. 22 hours ago, Kate said: Ok I agree that a topic is for discussion but when you create a topic it cant just be like : "Stake should create a crypto exchange ?" That post is is an announcement advertising a discord server (which most of the Stake community is already familiar with due to Stake having servers in the past). So I guess it was just a quick announcement that Steve made. But I do agree with you, I think more information should have been added for those who are not familiar with Stake's discord server

Lol Well about that one, in my opinion, It was a announcement at the new discord that created. I know it was a wrong for us by replying one sentence on that thread, and should be removed. But, it was a quick announcement. I don't really know what should we reply other than "Joined", than leaving it. It will cause that thread will drown with other old topics. It should be pinned at the announcement tab than Stake Discussion, and yeah I don't know why they wouldn't do that. If you giving another example like one sentences post in a discussion like "What is your strategy to win these" and a reply only answer "I only use martingale for that.", I would agree about your topic that you discuss about that spamming one and that should be removed.
irawk0 Posted November 24, 2018 #12 Posted November 24, 2018 You've gotta be kidding me with providing the Discord thread as an example right...? Literally what else should be included in it? A guide to Discord and how to set it up? We already have google/youtube/discord to do that for us. It doesn't take longer than 5min to learn the basics of Discord. Do you want every youtube giveaway to include a guide on how to open youtube.com...? Back to OP: If you want to create a forum topic, look for the subforum which relates closest to your topic. If all else fails put it in Off-Topic, and you can always request your thread to be moved if deemed necessary. But yes, please elaborate on a topic first by giving your own opinions. Basically use common sense...

Please read all of my statement before. We know that, and please don't pretend you are the righteous. All human make mistake. And i clearly said that should be in Announcement Tab, and to make the the quick discord announcement not drown with another posts. I want to clarify for that post should be at announcement tab, and why you not message to Steve or other mods than you still creating same answer over and over?

Im just returning to you what you've said about spam and i just gave u,an example. 😂 ill not message the mods nor steve. Its their job. My point is other users think theyre a mod by commenting on other users and correcting them just like what youve done. You cant just tell in other thread that they spam or not. Let the mod do their job. U a mod?

Also this post had more lines than your last post in my eyes. Admin's who does giveaways can't say anything more than just joining. But you can see that this topic was edited. Steve had mentioned that users who join now will get special positions for sometime.

If you have one and the same answer for all 3 persons, you can quote them first and then reply as they would all receive a notification and see your answer. Alternatively, you can tag them if it's important to you that they see your post. Haiss. Dont know about this wanna be mods. Why sharing the exact same image 3 times? It's redundant and makes one having difficulties to scroll through the same content to reach to the point of the post. As for wondering about Steve's topic about Discord, as others already stated here, it has a sole purpose of notifying the members of community that we have something new to check out. It is related and important for Stake, therefore it's in Stake discussion rather than in Announcements where mostly news like maintenance and such are posted.
