Report Button for Players

I think there should be a button for reporting a user when you click on their name that would alert a mod and maybe send their recent chat log to the mod. Occasionally a person is breaking the rules but no mods are in chat or maybe they're busy. This way we wouldn't have other users having to explain the rules to the offender and It would also make mods more efficient at keeping the chat free of rule violations. Also if people abuse this by reporting people for non-violations then they themselves could be punished. It's a win win lol.

This can be something very good. People reporting everyone would also be a problem.

It would be a good solution for reporting people that are violating the rules everytime, and it will be easier to report beggers and other people. Hope this suggestion gets approved soon.

This is a solid idea, but I am really afraid it will end up being abused, since people will report each other out of spite only

I am pretty sure a lot of people here are being harassed daily on private messages for "help" or "halp". This has been going on for very long now and will go on for much longer.

Most players don't wanna report the player directly to the mod just because it takes a lot of work. Gotta display proof and all. Rather than that, I think we must have a "Report" button when we click on the players name. This should open up a dialog box asking us why we did so. There should be a certain limit of reports in a day/week/month for a player and mutes should be rewarded accordingly. For instance, if a player has 15 reports in a week, he should get a 168 hour mute (7 days) or if they have 20 reports, permanent mute.

Mods should be allowed to see how many reports a player has gotten.

Some toxic players will surely just spam report on others who don't give them free money and there should be a system that allows a player to report only 2 or 3 players in a day. To prevent players of good reputation from getting muted, mods should be able to decide if the player has been good or bad. This will reduce the amount of scattered work mods have ad bring it all in one place.

This is only just a suggestion and I think it would be good addition to Stake.

Bumping this ^^ This should really be added. A simple button like this one will be very nice for the players and if people abuse it then ofc support can ban them. Don't make the system automated it'd fuck everything up. Anyways I'm sure Support would find a way to make it work and I believe this is a necessary thing to be added here.

I think this would be good for PMs and maybe solve the abuse problem.  If you can only report players who PM you then there's a safeguard for abuse, you can't just report everyone.

Second, right now PM begging is a problem and its harder for our legitimate users to report beggars by taking a screen shot and sending to a support staff than it is for the bad guys to beg them.  Having a report button would massively even the burden here and help out.

i think report button is useless when you already have ignore button and you can report them straight to support tho, why need report button, ppl gonna abuse that button for personal reason !

depending on the offence, i think  some cases to actually warrant a report.
but yes hanvee ignoring is for sure the first mode of deffense, but sometimes players are taking advantage of others and thus for the greater good one needs to take action or whatnot

I think it’s enough to ignore the buttons, I didn’t use it before, but when they started writing angry and hungry beggars, the failure came by itself, I don’t like this category of people. the proposal is very interesting

just thought of this for limiting times accessed
it would be cool if stake made a feature that would limit the device (not the IP) for amount of time allowed to be accessed by a user (set by the user of course)

Hello, thats a really cool idea but it needs way too much work while it would need supports to investigate those reports in case if its just abuse and reports by nothing. This feature would need many shields and features to succeed it.

Our development team has far more greater priorities than building systems to punish toxic people in the chat. We can’t forget that this site is for adaults and in that world, being annoying or toxic isn’t a crime.
