@Edward

I've been using my email for years, and it's filled with important files and documents, and there's no way to clear it out. I decided to transfer all my casino accounts to a different email address. I was able to do this fairly quickly at all the casinos, but only at Stake did I receive this response:

Hi there,

We’re sorry to inform you that, due to previous security measures on your account, all security-related changes, including updates to the email address and two-factor authentication (2FA) settings, have been permanently disabled.

As a result, we’re unable to process any modifications to the account security settings.

Thank you for understanding. We’re here to help if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Sanja

Accounts Team

I was surprised not only by the fact that I can't change my email, but also by the fact that if I lose my device with 2FA, I won't be able to regain access to my account. All the time I spent leveling up will be wasted. If there are funds in the account, they will also disappear.

Support is unresponsive to this issue, and the VIP host is also unable to help.

This is very strange, since Stake positions itself as a safe casino and recommends everyone enable 2FA.

ye in order to change email on Stake you have to go through all the annoying stuff, ID check, IP check, selfie with an ID

I have successfully verified my identity in the past, and all the security protocols were in place to confirm my original ownership of my account.

I provided everything they asked for and I am ready for any kind of verification. This response arrived a minute after my email, meaning they didn't even review the information they requested.

This response means, firstly, that they won't change the email, and secondly, that if I lose my 2FA, I'll lose access to my account forever. I don't understand why they don't warn players about this in advance and insist on installing 2FA. I found several threads here on the forum about people losing access to 2FA and now can't log into Stake.

Total disregard from support, no comment here either.

I've been playing on Stake for almost 4 years, and this is the incredible VIP service and level of support that @Edward talks about?

Why doesn't Stake notify users that if you lose access to 2FA, you lose access to your account forever?

It's a good thing I found out about this before it happened. I can imagine the disappointment I would have felt if I'd lost access to the account that held the funds.
