To My Inang (Grandma)

It's been 2 years since you've been gone but your memories still lingers in  my mind. 

Recalling my childhood memories give not only smiles but tears in my eyes . The person who step-in as my mom when our  parents work overseas. its not easy but she tried her best to fills all the love ,affection and support . 

As a child who asks unending questions..so many "whys " "how " but She is so patient to attend me and never turn me away . Eating ice cream is our bonding moment (most often the way to cheer me up )later become my comfort food.

My defense lawyer to my parents (whenever my parents scolded me )  ..my shield in storms (sad days) . My cheer leader in every school events . My mentor , taught discipline,empathy and confidence .

The person I'm excited to see every school break when we moved to City .Her special "maja blanca " (native cake) and our favourite "duyan" (hammock ) tied in mango tree ..

"The world isn't as perfect as it seems ..many obstacles that would test you when you grow old. Be strong and stand still. Keep your faith higher than your fears . Always believe in yourself and don't forget to ask God for guidance "

After I was born, my family abandoned me on a street near a mosque due to financial difficulties. A middle-aged, single woman found me and took me in. She went hungry herself to feed me, never bought herself clothes, but bought me everything I wanted and sent me to school. She has always been my real mother. I am so happy they left me at the mosque. Now I've grown up and I take care of my mother. We are both happy. Happy Women's Day to all women ❤️

Hi everyone

I have 2 women in mind, first my Mother, so strong and sweet, abandonned at 1y and separated from her 9 brothers/sisters then having to raise me and my sister as a single mother + battling against work for years (and finally win) really inspiring and honestly i cant even process to this day how can you be that strong and manage to take care of your people without them noticing a change.. love you mom ❤️

The second one is the mother of my son, we may not agree on anything but damn i respect that woman for everything she went through, like moving as an immigrant and having parents not speaking any words of the new langage and basically becoming an adult for them but you are 7 years old.. doing adult papers, bills, taking care of your little brother cause your parents are irresponsible. It changes you in every way.. take care Y ❤️
