My comfort food is uštipci, a traditional homemade fried dough. They always bring me back to my childhood because my family used to make them very often, especially on weekends and during gatherings. The smell of fresh uštipci reminds me of warm mornings at home and happy moments with my family.  

Even though I know they are greasy and not very healthy, I still absolutely love eating them. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they are impossible for me to resist. Whenever someone makes uštipci, I never miss the chance to eat them because they make me feel nostalgic, comfortable, and happy.
