Moderator StefanTl Posted May 9 Moderator #1 Posted May 9 Now that it's getting hot, I’m curious how everyone handles their summer wardrobe. Do you go full casual, or do you try to keep some style despite the heat? I personally prefer a cleaner look. My go-to is usually a pair of loafers (moccasins) with some light summer wear like linen shirts or tailored shorts. There is just something about that style that feels right when you're out on a summer evening, and it’s a lot more comfortable than people think. What about you guys? Are you strictly team flip-flops and shorts, or do you have a favorite summer "uniform"? Let me know! 👇 Jackhackmax, zaki14000, MarkoDr and 1 other 2 1 1
spaceoddtiddy Posted May 9 #4 Posted May 9 (edited) Cotton and Linen. Everything cotton, haha! It's breathable and soft on skin, and absorbs sweat. Anything polyester goes in the bottom rack. As for the style, for work, i prefer formal wear that's strictly cotton. I avoid jeans in general, but specially in summers. Loose dresses and footwear. Anything that sticks to the skin is BAD. Maybe a lot of traditional wear, like cotton kurtis paired with cute palazzo. I also prefer like a litte sleeveless top, with an oversized robe or cotton jacket that keeps me covered, but also lets my skin breathe. But to be honest, I hate summers. I don't like going out of my room during that time of the year, so mostly just loose breathable tshirts and cute cotton shorts when I'm home. Edited May 9 by spaceoddtiddy MilicaRa and StefanTl 1 1
RandomUzername Posted May 9 #6 Posted May 9 100% on the linen move. It’s the only way to survive the humidity without looking like a mess spaceoddtiddy 1
Moderator MarkoDr Posted May 9 Moderator #8 Posted May 9 When the hotter days start, when the temperature is higher than 20 and something degrees, i immediately start wearing shorts and t shirts. I like the more comfy and casual look then the stylish look, but it all depends on the occasion i am going to. Something like this best describes my warmer weather fit. Moderator KatarinaDo Posted May 9 Moderator #9 Posted May 9 My go-to summer style is simple, light, and comfortable. I like wearing light clothes and bright colors because they feel perfect for hot summer days. I do not like complicated outfits during summer - the simpler, the better. My favorite part of every summer outfit is actually my dark summer tan, which I absolutely love. I feel like my tan makes every outfit look better and gives me confidence, so I usually keep my style minimal and let the tan stand out. ☀️ AleksandarG, Jackhackmax, spaceoddtiddy and 1 other 2 1 1
Moderator FilipTa Posted May 10 Moderator #10 Posted May 10 @spaceoddtiddyIf you ask me and even if you don’t, I’ll still say it, black Converse with a navy blue summer dress looks so nerdy, so punk, so metal, so everything. spaceoddtiddy and Jackhackmax 1 1
Moderator NebojsaBu Posted May 11 Moderator #11 Posted May 11 When it comes to summer i prefer to wear shorts and t-shirts, but of course you cant wear that everywhere, so for work its gonna be casual pants and a t-shirt or polo t-shirt, But the thing i most hate about summer is that if you wear particular colors and you get sweaty it shows pretty easily. Even when you are driving in high heat and you get out of the car your bottom might look like you accidentally sat in a wet spot. spaceoddtiddy and Jackhackmax 1 1
Zamia2001 Posted May 11 #12 Posted May 11 im sure most ladies wear this.. My favorite style during summer is wearing a baggy jeans(loose legs) where i can move easily paired with crop top but when the sun is so striking hot i use a topper blouse. Nabilmat and Jackhackmax 2
Moderator AndreaMT Posted May 13 Moderator #13 Posted May 13 During the summer, I love wearing light, flowy dresses the most because they’re both cute and comfortable, which is really important. When it’s really hot outside, they’re always my first choice. I really enjoy wearing loose, airy clothes during the summer because I’m not a big fan of intense heat, so I don’t really handle it that well. 🌞 Jackhackmax 1
