Psychological reasoning of staying on stake.

So this post will go a little bit deeper into the psychological matters of a casual player on stake, that won't leave stake no matter what.

Everyone here has the same starting point on stake.

  • We get invited or introduced to stake through social media.
  • We sign up and play.
  • We win.

It's those moments that already bind us to stake as a casino. We win some small amounts. We win big amounts. We lose it all.

If you win once you won't be able to stop from playing and reaching that level of excitement again!

The site itself, stake as we call it, offers a varity of games which all build an addiction itself. HiLo burns itself into the brain of the player by letting the player choose his fortune himself. He is responsible for his future on here. And only he will make the decision to go high or low.

The stressful experiences every player on here goes through, the exciting wins we all have here, all that binds us to stake and all that will stop us from just leaving and quit the site.

You as a player get one chance of leaving here with a high possibility of actually staying away from stake. This is the moment you enter stake. You should leave immediately after you come here first.

I've talked to a lot of long time members on stake, that said they'ld have rather not known about stake in the first point. There are multiple cases of addiction to stake that caused huge amounts of lost money. So I'ld say stake has a binding/addicting game interface and background strategy. They bind the players to the point where they can't bring themselves to leaving.

Do you think so too or do you think I'm talking bullsh*t?

No, you not talking any bullsh*t things. It's about fact in here, people has own reason to stay. Some people like depositing things and they don't want to remember their losses in here, and they was said like "That is my regret in here, I lost money here". But hey, it was your own risk to deposit here. You should have some spare money to play with, not your needed money for real life.

Well, my reasoning in here because I'm a moderator xD

Well why would people stay here if they dont win right? I didnt mean to put stake in a negative light! I love stake by heart and everyone knows the risks of gambling! Good on you that youre a mod :)

I think its all bu*@#*$ lol jk its just a perspective. I personally think there has to be more to keep someone on here, for example drug use lol.

I dont spend much time on stake even in the chat unless im high, thats the only times i really want to gamble otherwise its stressful or too boring.

Sorry @Snike but I don't totally believe it.  I think lots of people are on the site who did NOT win early on.  I think almost as many people lost and then keep chasing losses.  Also I think the rain, forum rewards, and challenges do a lot to retain the users.  Finally, as corny as it sounds, I think a lot of people make real online friends on Stake and the community itself is pretty important and a big draw for people for their entertainment choices.

Yeah I'm going to have to definitely agree with you the main reason why I stay because of the first time that's I hit it big, just like drugs I'm constantly chasing the dragon and trying to Steve Nash the feeling I had when I first felt that Rush that indescribable feeling of indestructibility feeling on top of the world laughing at all the people who have to put in hard work to make money while I click away and make 10 times what they do I don't know I might feel that same feeling again sometime but I have yet to recapture that lightning in a bottle

It isnt that corny to say I made lots of friends on here! Lots of good ones tbh!! I am here mainly for the fun and the people so you're right about that!

I was one of those people who managed to make a withdrawal before I made my first deposit. Once the 200k sats came my way, it gave me confirmation that Stake was a legit casino, and that is why I am still here today, and decided to make a deposit :)

I was also will I am.   My first or second day at Stake I received a tip from wanderex.   I put it all in on roulette not really knowing what the outcome could result in as I was not too familiar with roulette at that time.   Much to my surprise I hit and I won .021 btc !!!!    From that point on I was hooked hahaha!

I do believe it too. And I always thing that Stake really made it and achieved that level where people come in and hardly go out. That's the first thing each community/casino tries, to attract people so much they won't really want to leave anymore and I guess that it is pretty great for Stake. Also, I am myself a HiLo lover and I felt myself a little when you've said that. The only thing is that I don't find myself in the ones trapped here, I stick to the community more because I want as I like it here, but not because I can't leave. I even made a break last winter and I didn't feel the need to come back. The only reason I did so was because I missed some people and I also wanted to start streaming on Stake which I did :D

Wow, that's awesome! I haven't been that lucky yet, but I remember Irena did a 50k trivia which I won, and worked my way up to 200k and successfully withdrew. It was an incredible feeling :D

Gambling addiction is sort of funny compared to say drug addiction because it's the only addiction where the person can become extremely wealthy.

The Mayo Clinic says about gambling addiction,

"Compulsive gambling, also called gambling disorder, is the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on your life. Gambling means that you're willing to risk something you value in the hope of getting something of even greater value. Gambling can stimulate the brain's reward system much like drugs or alcohol can, leading to addiction. If you have a problem with compulsive gambling, you may continually chase bets that lead to losses, hide your behavior, deplete savings, accumulate debt, or even resort to theft or fraud to support your addiction."

It's all fun and games but I urge anyone to STOP if gambling has affected your life in a greatly negative way.
