hustler1984 Posted December 16, 2018 #1 Posted December 16, 2018 Hi guys, I got a major life changing issue The new CEO at my company doesn't respect my abilities... i know I'm worth about 100k per year but he thinks I'm only worth 50k... He wont even consider a reassessment after 6 years with the company... Last week i added over a million dollars in value to the company... Would you stick around?
Carollzinha Posted December 17, 2018 #2 Posted December 17, 2018 If you are not happy working there or with the situation you should have an open talk with your boss and let him know.. if you really believe you are worth way more than you earn then well, you can always find another company to work at.. if you are really as good as you say you should not have any issue to find a new job. Something I learned with my mom is that the most important thing is for you to do what you love.. when you work with pleasure you will enjoy every moment there and you won't see the time pass.. and it normally* helps you to have better results from the things you do *normally: based in the keys you have to work with
Dan Posted December 17, 2018 #3 Posted December 17, 2018 Hi @hustler1984, A good way to evaluate value is to check what other companies are offering on recruitment services for your skill set? What education did you achieve? What are you a professional at doing? What skill set do you have to offer your employer?
irawk0 Posted December 17, 2018 #4 Posted December 17, 2018 Not sure where you live but here there are Unions for taking care of employees' needs. Talk to them, talk to your boss/manager or whatever, and start job hunting. Always keep your options open. Maybe your boss thinks you aren't job hopping so you are a "nester" and he can just do whatever he wants, maybe the act of talking to Union will make him change his mind, but if not, leave as soon as you get a better offer.

If you still getting no, you should wait and re-evaluate for the next negotiation. I hope you will getting salary increase based on your 6 years experience at company.
