Issue with the rules for the recent advent challenge

I would like to make it clear that i am just letting my friends in the Stake community be aware of an issue I had today so that they may not run into this problem because it was such b.s. 

I started yesterdays challenge" saving Christmas Mixed challenge" with ghost most disabled and I completed the challenge and posted my winning bets in forum with ghost mode still disabled and I was also one of the last players to finish it right before the timer ended.

After the timer had stopped I turned my ghost mode back on.

The rules for the Advent challenge clearly state: "ghost mode must be disabled during the duration of the challenge; bets must be transparent when you link them"  " it also states  at the top of the page "each daily challenge will last 24 hours"  as well as   "follow the timer"  .Here is the biggest rule " Make sure you read the rules of each challenge carefully and fulfill them according to calendar and TIMER listed on the challenge itself.

The challenge was over as soon as the timer stopped  so I went back into ghost mode after the timer stopped. Well here is the b.s. part .. Whom ever checks the bet id's said I was disqualified because I had ghost mode enabled when they checking the bets AFTER the challenge was done. Even though my bet id that I posted on the forum was correct and has bmg on it and it's not anonymous .

I was disqualified!! 

The challenge ends when the timer stops so that means the duration of the challenge has ended and I'm allowed to go back into ghost mode and according to the rules I should have not been disqualified or am i wrong?

I've since stopped participating in challenges, as I don't like to go days and days with ghost mode off.

Did you contact live support about this? Try contacting them, and they will probably offer you a solution

did u post a sscreenshot with it.. after input of the id bet.. put a screenshot also showing the completed challenge.

I feel like this was indeed unfair, only if you were not planning on completing every day's challenge. If you were planning on completing all 25 challenges it would've made much more sense to keep Ghost mode off the entire time otherwise you'd be looking at a hassle of turning ghost mode on/off a total of 50 times lol. Why not just gamble on an alt if you really wanted to remain hidden, but keep the main acc visible for all challenges?

P.S. did you have ghost mode off the entire 24hrs? E.g. from 12:00 AM GMT (when the challenge was posted) to 12:00 AM GMT the next day (2hrs after you posted bet)? If you had ghost mode on for even a second during that 24hrs it could've been a dq as well

P.P.S. It was a complaint/question imo, since it's not a discussion but rather asking why were you disqualified

I really would like to hear some feed back on this because Support just keeps telling me to read the rules but apparently they need to explain them clearly....

I'm not the one that move your topic, but if I read your topic. It is consider as a complaint, by asking this question : "I really would like to hear some feed back on this because Support just keeps telling me to read the rules but apparently they need to explain them clearly.. ". 

Anyway, many people asking this question on me too. It was because people enable the ghost mode when the promotion was still running, even their bet not in ghost mode / transparent. And then, I asking to the support about it. 

When I looked at the challenge thread, It said that : "Ghost mode must be disabled during the whole duration of the challenge", in my opinion means : until the prize given, you need to disable your ghost mode. 

The best option, it should be not to touch the ghost mode when you want to participate the giveaway, because people that checked your entries may become a anonymous bet. (they always double check your entries on last hours when the prize is going to be given or in that duration of the challenge,even the first check of your bet was consider as a valid entry.)

I'm feel so sorry to you that you didn't have any prize of it.

i already talked to support about this they did nothing .. This was not a complaint written for a resolution but it was a  topic that i wanted to talk about and hear what other players had to say. and don't you think it would be a common curtsy to let someone know your moving there topic so that they can have the option to either fix it or delete it . I didnt post my topic to address the staff that wont help i addressed it to my friends at Stake to talk about my feelings .

I didn't move the topic here, but I certainly think it is worthwhile having the issue addressed, so that its publicly available for everyone who's interested to know the outcome. I also think its in the right location considering.

I think the resolution si easy:

For this time only: bmg disables the ghost mode > Stake can check the correct bet > If everything is ok, then bmg gets the prize for completing the challenge.
And from now on, the challenge adds a rule which states: "ghost mode must be disabled from the time the bet is made until the time the prizes are distributed"

Challenge ends when awards are distributed, as always. It is not possible to check yours or someone else's bet as soon as that bet is posted because I have my shift and I am not on forum constantly.

When I checked your entry, your bets were anonymous, and I can show a screenshot if you want me to.

Rules are the same for everyone, all the players who carefully read the rules do not have problems with fulfilling the requirements. When 78 other player can read the rules and stick to them, you and the others can do that as well.

In my opinion, you all should be satisfied because Stake gives you a chance to have fun and earn some sats along the way. 

Since many of you were complaining about the rules not being clear-cut, General Giveaway Rules topic was made to help you understand them better. You had plenty of time to read those since it was posted 2 months ago.

lol... no solution.. just that you're disqualified.  happened to me twice.. once for being on ghost mode like bmg.. even though the forum will not let you post an annonymous bet.. the fact ur bet id, user name, date ect.  all the info needed to verify its you... even after taking off ghost mode and the bet id once again shows ur user name... no solution offered or attempted.. the second one was for only posting screenshots as an invalid proof of me completing it.... yet in order for support to mute or ban anyone, they require screenshots as valid proof.. the irony..

I disagree, It is clearly stated in each challenge the "end" date and time.

"challenge ends when awards are distributed" is not written in the rules. And even if it were written, it gives place to abuse: what if you give the prize the next year and say the challenge was 1 year long (disqualifying all players who enable "ghost mode" in that year). Non sense.

It is obvious, and players have no control over what is happening behind Stake curtains. It is something outside the challenge itself, not stated in the rules, not known by the players.

Stake creates challenges and gives prizes to entice players to come here to play and have fun. The same way players are satisfied, Stake staff must be satified of having players playing here.

In this particular challenge, the players were required to bet, it was not a "gift". That is why it is so important to be serious about it.

 

This problem will not be solved if instead of recognize the rules have a hole, we ignore it. "Stake deserve the right to disqualify any player for any reason" is also a missing rule.

It is clearly stated here that the ghost mode must to be disabled from the moment you enter a giveaway. It is up to you whether you will stick to this rule or not.

I will close this topic now since you have been provided answers multiple times (referring to bmg).
