I've played a lot of Blackjack over the years, and one thing I've noticed is that not everyone follows basic strategy.

You'll often hear people say:

Always split Aces.

Always split 8s.

Never split 10s.

But when you're actually in a game, it's tempting to ignore the "correct" play and go with your gut, especially after a few unlucky hands.

There have been times when I followed basic strategy perfectly and still lost several hands in a row. Then other times I made a questionable move, and somehow it worked out.

So I'm interested in what everyone else does.

Do you always stick to basic strategy?

Have you ever ignored it and ended up with a better result?

What's the toughest decision for you: hitting 16, splitting pairs, or doubling down?

I know every hand has its own odds, and luck will always be part of Blackjack. Still, it's one of the few casino games where your decisions can actually make a difference over the long run.

Splitting is better

I've never split 8s against a 7 , 8 , 9 or 10 naah man that's just luck after that and never splitting 10s why waste a winning hand but that goes for me cause I've got no luck with my cards but I've seen many split these cards and winning with them so maybe goes both ways .
