Pele every time for me, watching old match reels the guy was just impossibly smooth. Odds on anyone bagging 3 world cups again feel astronomical lol

Unrelated btw

Messi edges it for me just cause his world cup run felt like a movie ending. But do you think longevity should count more than peak magic when deciding the GOAT?

Hard to argue against Messi after that World Cup run honestly, felt like the last piece he needed. For me it's the consistency across so many seasons, not just the peak moments.

I watched that World Cup final live and Messi just controlled the entire rhythm of the game even when France pushed back, his second goal in extra time was pure instinct that nobody else on that pitch could replicate. For me that single match showed more than stats ever could.

Every generation has its icon, but only one can be called the GOAT. Is it Messi, Ronaldo, Pelé, Maradona, or someone else? Defend your choice.

Messi is my GOAT because he combines goals, assists, vision and consistency better than anyone.

Ronaldo gets my vote because his mentality, longevity and record in big matches are unmatched.

For me, Messi settled the debate after winning the World Cup.

I choose Ronaldo because he proved himself in different leagues and always adapted.

Maradona is my GOAT because he could carry an entire team almost by himself.

My heart says Ronaldo, but Messi has the stronger overall argument.

Messi made football look effortless while still producing incredible numbers.

Ronaldo is my GOAT because pressure always seemed to make him stronger.

Maradona’s 1986 World Cup remains one of the greatest individual performances ever.
