blueprints Posted January 13, 2019 #1 Posted January 13, 2019 My Observation: I have been in the chat a few times the past few days and have noticed some people just being open about why they are in chat and what their motives are. Though its in slight form of a joke, they are mainly serious. That they want the attention of people with money, and could care less about the poor. They are interested in making friends with the motive of getting some kind of incentive for being nice, friendly, and social with them. Now these are real people. Yes they may bring about a mean, unfriendly feel but they aren't being offensive or attacking anyone specifically. They are simply being open about their interests, what their eyes are set on, and why they have come to chat. Possibly to try and repel anyone that they aren't interested in talking to, or attract those the people they are looking for. Whatever it is, there is nothing wrong with them being themselves, honest, and open with whats on their mind. Be Transparent Without Shame I am appalled at the fact that there are people online who STILL feel the need to put on a mask. They think they must put themselves through the misery of being someone they are not. Im not sure if they realize though how a lot of people can clearly see they are being fake. Im sure many can see when someone is being too nice, too interested in people, too positive, too caring, and too perfect. I dont think people visit a casino to be all that to strangers. lol the chatroom's not a social media its there so that players have the option to not gamble alone. So i hope this encourages players to chat and be open with whats in their hearts even if it may be selfish or greedy. I mean im sure no one will judge you severely (even if they do why care) I mean if anything im sure people will appreciate you being real. The more real people in chatroom, the better. It feels more alive when theres more then just a random remarks or a bunch of small talk.
williamshennie9 Posted January 13, 2019 #2 Posted January 13, 2019 I do agree with you, that people should be transparent, but remember that 99% of people here are anonymous, so they don't hide anyway. That is why people beg so openly, because they are hidden behind a screen, and don't care about their online reputation.
Mlc Posted January 13, 2019 #3 Posted January 13, 2019 Well for a start off I don’t see why “poor” would be playing a casino to start with and second no reasonable person would give a gambler money if he says he’s poor, he clearly is not using it for the bare life essentials he claims it to be for ❤️
Kjaka Posted January 13, 2019 #4 Posted January 13, 2019 I think what you are talking about is the real problem of the world and it's everywhere, I wish too that the people would just relax about their personalities and stop acting like someone else, that will free us from ourselves but i doubt it will happen soon. Maybe it will start on stake
lupandina Posted January 13, 2019 #5 Posted January 13, 2019 Yea, it's usual thing, sadly. With time I learnt to see, who is real, and who is fake (sad to notice, fake ones are most). I always was and I am - open, and real. If I don't want to share some details - just not telling that at all , but I never lied to anyone. And I'm feeling good because of that
Kate Posted January 13, 2019 #6 Posted January 13, 2019 Well some people are shy so being completely transparent isn't possible and also if the chat becomes completely transparent there won't be an active chat then.
Brunkey Posted January 13, 2019 #7 Posted January 13, 2019 Yes i am complety agree with your post! People must be friendly and support eachothers. Alot of people are not themself and not nice to other members.
bmg Posted January 13, 2019 #8 Posted January 13, 2019 It really bothers me when people are fake or like you said "put on a mask". If anyone knows me they know that i am as real as they come and I were my heart on my sleeve so to say . I feel you can gain more in life if your open and honest and not a fake or liar. I know there are a lot of times when I'm in chat and if im in great mood you all now it and if Im sad or upset about something then you know it as well. ... I like this topic Blue kudos to you for bring this one to the table.
KiXxnTRiXx Posted January 13, 2019 #9 Posted January 13, 2019 Its a difficult and tricky request since anyone can make endless alts and pretend to have different personalities. There was this guy at PD that made at least 3 alfs on ar the same time that this player was acting like different people but not very convicing since his habits and pm begs gave him awaay. lol... buf there are times when i wonder if the person im talking to is someone else ive already been aquinted with.. I tend to look pass the obvious and pay aftention to small details on what people say as many who does pretend are not very consistent with their act and can be found out when they let a key information slip or talking about something they shouldnt know gives them away. But honestly..i am not here to filter out these players, but i do point it out when im around to witness it. What did happend to that guy that always went. "Bro check your PM" .. that guy had multiple alts on.. tipping each others in hope to give players the idea that if you tip them..they will tip you.. lol was hillarious and a bit entertaining but it did get to a point where enough is enough.. harrasing players in chat and PM with sob stories... smh

This is a casino, so we should congratulate people when they win, but I still don't think people should complain about busting and losing. I mean people must not complain, since in any casino, the odds are against you.

I finally got paid back the money I lent him like 8 months ago, maybe more.
ScooterPi Posted January 14, 2019 #12 Posted January 14, 2019 Chat forums have all sorts of personalities, some real and some contrived. In the long run, you can never be certain who you are dealing with when you are in an online format. Simply because, it is the easiest place to pretend to be someone else. I've always thought the study of chat forums, including places like reddit, would make an awesome project for someone in the sociology field.

This way, they leave the choice to the other person, if they wanna make a conversation, make friends, or just ignore their existence. With all the passive beggars constantly typing in chat: "Good Luck *name*" or "Grats catchers" or "Sad day" or "Busted 2000 sats" or "Wow nice 2x win" or shit like that, in hopes to get a 20c tip of a 5 cent rain, I think honestly and transparency is absolutely essential. I dont think people visit a casino to be all that to strangers. Well, I do understand. This is majorly also pointed toward my behavior. I used to be very nice to people, just because I wanted to make friends and wanted people to talk to me. Let me honest here, I wanted a little significance in chat. But recently, I have realised that most people here would sell me for a dollar. It's not worth it. I found a few good friends, and I think I'm done. Exactly why I don't come on Stake as often now. My main goal to come here was of course to gamble, but within a few days it had changed to making friends because back then, the chat was much less filled with beggars and more nice people. Chronic depression compels me to stay alone, i don't know why, but Stake provided me with a platform where I could talk to people, and leave at anytime I felt uncomfortable (unlike real life where you gotta stick to the person). Final thoughts: I don't think people should be rude in chat. They must always be understanding of others' choices, even if not nice. Never rude. But the more transparent you are, the better it is.

You know, being honest and open on chat is essential to gain respect from other users. And like wise, they gain your respect too. However, being "Transparent" has its ground. If it gets too much transparent, like talking about personal stuff, sharing all about things that you do, or maybe all the things about you.. Those can take place through PMs and the likes. I always consider one's privacy too.
