Vi2034tor Posted Tuesday at 05:46 PM #1 Posted Tuesday at 05:46 PM I wanted to open up a thread for general poker strategy, tips, and experiences. Whether you are playing Texas Hold'em, Omaha, or testing your skills in tournaments, let's use this space to share insights.
kyrtha Posted 22 hours ago #2 Posted 22 hours ago fr been looking for a spot to talk poker strats, I've been grinding Omaha lately and position is everything—fold early if you're out of it ngl
Doseyx Posted 21 hours ago #3 Posted 21 hours ago bro tell me about it, playing out of position in Omaha is just burning money fr 😂
ladyseo19 Posted 20 hours ago #4 Posted 20 hours ago lol fr, nothing worse than calling a raise OOP with a marginal hand and then getting cooked on the flop 💀
ladyora Posted 18 hours ago #5 Posted 18 hours ago Honestly the hardest lesson I had to learn in Hold'em was ditching mid pocket pairs early when the board gets wet, used to call down way too much with those
nyxry Posted 18 hours ago #6 Posted 18 hours ago Always tough letting go of 88 on a J-T-9 board but yeah, better than bleeding chips chasing a two-outer.
0megaSage Posted 14 hours ago #7 Posted 14 hours ago y'all got me scared of calling anything OOP now lol, guess it's time to tighten up in omaha fr ?
Legacynda01 Posted 7 hours ago #9 Posted 7 hours ago folded KQs preflop yesterday felt so wrong but was right
emberaytos Posted 5 hours ago #10 Posted 5 hours ago gonna try that short stack shove strat in the next turbo tourney, the fold equity feels massive right now
Irisssa Posted 2 hours ago #11 Posted 2 hours ago I find folding tohse suited broadways preflop way harder than letting go of mid pairs on a scary board. At least with the pair you can see the flop cheap and then dip if it misses, but dumping KQs just feels like I’m leaving money on the table.
woonaylyn Posted 2 hours ago #12 Posted 2 hours ago lost a huge pot in omaha last week holding a set of jacks on a bard with three hearts, kept telling myself he was just repping the flush.. turns out he actually had it every single time
morthosique Posted 1 hour ago #13 Posted 1 hour ago Reading that Omaha flush story hurt. It's so easy to convince yourself they're always bluffing when you've got a set but the boarrd is screaming at you to let go.
kaiegi8bqf Posted 1 hour ago #14 Posted 1 hour ago tbh the real leak in my game is tilting after a bad beat and then punting stacks with ace rag ?
quillaeki Posted 1 hour ago #15 Posted 1 hour ago tilt punting with ace rag is so painfully relatable esp after losing a monster pot in omaha. feels like you just wanna get it back in one hand even when the math says its lighting money on fire lol
