missfox Posted October 23, 2017 #1 Posted October 23, 2017 I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It's proved itself in the past years and it is getting popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm. What about the altcoins? Who uses them for real? Will people use them in the future purposefully? I only have hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not the rest. I am not even sure about eth and ltc. If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

skillex Posted October 23, 2017 #3 Posted October 23, 2017 yes, i believe altcoins have future, its not that Bitcoin is already godlike and because it has a golden value or have very high price is that its perfect coin already, but it still has its flaws and lacks some things just like its digit in decimal place its somewhat very difficult to read for other people and some famous american citizen didn't even know what bitcoin is. Thats why altcoins are created to fill the gap that bitcoin lacks.
Kargai Posted October 23, 2017 #4 Posted October 23, 2017 Imho Alt coins are the futur. Of course 99.9% of them are already useless or will be but the 0.1% will make the difference. Bitcoin is great now but it's just the first crypto, i'm confident than new crypto will be launch with disruptive ideas we even can't think about now. I don't see that happening in the next 5-6 years tho but it will happen at one time. BTC could still be a store value (as real gold now) but maybe not as useful on a day to day basis as it is right now.

But if cryptocurrency stays around, it would be a 'nother coin.
