I know he's a divisive figure but I still think Brazil loses that unpredictable spark without him, the squad is solid but feels too robotic at times. Saying they're better off is a stretch when no one else in that lineup can pull a goal out of thin air the way he does.

People keep acting like Brazil without Neymar is suddenly a cohesive machine, but every time he misses a big game they look lost when plan A fails, at least with him on the pitch there is a wildcard factor that breaks a deadlock.

I remember putting a small bet on Brazil to win the whole thing back in 2014 when he got injured, and the whole team just collapsed without that creative outlet. Honestly, it feels the same now, no one else seems willing to try those risky dribbles that actually break down a packed defense.
