clotoria89 Posted Thursday at 05:52 PM #2 Posted Thursday at 05:52 PM Poker been hitting different lately fr, what stakes you playing?
lilyra Posted Thursday at 08:19 PM #3 Posted Thursday at 08:19 PM Tbh poker's all about finding those loose tables where people chase every draw, that's where the real money's at.
shredlia Posted Thursday at 08:50 PM #4 Posted Thursday at 08:50 PM Love grinding low stakes cash games tbh, way more action and less nits than the higher limits.
voxus Posted Thursday at 09:11 PM #5 Posted Thursday at 09:11 PM Low stakes cash is where it's at, people actually play hands instead of folding every blind.
umbraxen Posted Thursday at 09:34 PM #6 Posted Thursday at 09:34 PM Low stakes cash is the sweet spot, you actually get paid off when you hit instead of everyone folding to a 3-bet.
buyvalo60 Posted Thursday at 09:44 PM #7 Posted Thursday at 09:44 PM Low stakes cash is the move tbh, way more action and people actually pay you off when you hit.
emberarys49 Posted yesterday at 10:21 AM #8 Posted yesterday at 10:21 AM Not sure if low stakes cash is always as sweet as people say, I've sat at some tables where it's just a nitfest even at micros, kinda depends on the time of day tbh
vexeltos Posted yesterday at 02:20 PM #9 Posted yesterday at 02:20 PM Good poker is a myth unless you enjoy folding for two hours before seeing a flop lol
Vorelerra3 Posted yesterday at 02:43 PM #10 Posted yesterday at 02:43 PM Not sure about good poker existing honestly, most sessions just feel like watching paint dry while some guy tanks for 5 mins on a $2 bet. But I guess if you find the right home game with actual gamblers it could be fun, just rare imo.
yxarenne Posted yesterday at 04:39 PM #11 Posted yesterday at 04:39 PM The local pub league I found has players who genuinely love the game, and the host deals out prop bets on flop textures just to keep it from getting stale after the first hour.
YeBogUYo6 Posted 12 hours ago #13 Posted 12 hours ago yeah low stakes cash is teh move ngl, way more fun and fishy tables too ?
selenena Posted 11 hours ago #15 Posted 11 hours ago Got kicked out of a home game once for laughing too loud when my buddy rivered quads, the host took it way too seriously. Those casual games are the only ones where I actually have fun anymore.
shreddra11 Posted 10 hours ago #16 Posted 10 hours ago Try adding a bomb pot every orbit to wake up the tight players.
irisari Posted 9 hours ago #17 Posted 9 hours ago If the table feels too chatty and slow you can pitch a round of stand up game where the last person to act has to stay standing until the hand is over, it sounds dumb but it genuinely speeds up decisions and gets people laughing.
tyxnda Posted 9 hours ago #18 Posted 9 hours ago Call the clock on the guy who tanks for five minutes preflop with jack four offsuit, you get called a jerk but it actually keeps the game moving and nobody really holds a grudge after one drink.
Hollowver Posted 8 hours ago #19 Posted 8 hours ago watch out for the guy who keeps ordering coffee and playing every third hand, theyre usually girnding online strats and will stack you if you dont vary your bet sizing
Meriirwyn Posted 5 hours ago #21 Posted 5 hours ago I prefer a quiet but intense table over the bomb pot chaos, way easier to spot a tell when someones not hiding behind all that randomness.
mikkaeyx Posted 4 hours ago #22 Posted 4 hours ago I get why people like the stand up game but it just adds another layer of stress when half the table already cant handle basic pot odds.
gladeevna Posted 1 hour ago #23 Posted 1 hour ago Stand up game is my go to when the mood gets too flat, I once hit a runner runner flush just to sit down and the whole table lost it lol.
