Not sure about good poker existing honestly, most sessions just feel like watching paint dry while some guy tanks for 5 mins on a $2 bet. But I guess if you find the right home game with actual gamblers it could be fun, just rare imo.

If the table feels too chatty and slow you can pitch a round of stand up game where the last person to act has to stay standing until the hand is over, it sounds dumb but it genuinely speeds up decisions and gets people laughing.

Call the clock on the guy who tanks for five minutes preflop with jack four offsuit, you get called a jerk but it actually keeps the game moving and nobody really holds a grudge after one drink.

watch out for the guy who keeps ordering coffee and playing every third hand, theyre usually girnding online strats and will stack you if you dont vary your bet sizing
