moutainy Posted July 11 #26 Posted July 11 yeah bro poker humbles everybody ngl, even if your reads are solid teh river can still cook you ?
synaessa Posted July 11 #27 Posted July 11 i mean thatts a bit much tbh, u can still crush low stakes just playing tight and not punting
Novatia Posted July 11 #28 Posted July 11 Track your session time with a simple timer because after about two hours the small edges you worked for start getting erased by fatigue decisions. I usually lock in a hard stop at the three hour mark unless the table is unbelievably soft and I’ve got some caffeine still working.
lilyna Posted July 11 #31 Posted July 11 How do you even practice for those moments when the math says call but your gut says run? That edge feels impossible to learn without losing a ton first.
synly6 Posted July 11 #32 Posted July 11 The word "master" just sounds so permanent like you eveer truly finish learning in this game.
ravenayvar Posted July 11 #33 Posted July 11 Honestly it takes so much more than just knowing the odds, you gotta learn how to read the table vibe and tust that instinct even when the math says otherwise. I've definitely cost myself some pots by overthinking it and ignoring my gut feeling.
kovaanlia Posted July 11 #34 Posted July 11 Watching the WSOP main event final table last year showed me that even the absolute cushers get their bluffs snapped off, you really do have to read souls at that level.
Raxalori76 Posted July 12 #35 Posted July 12 Calling it mastery is a stretch, most folks just need solid bankroll rules and the sense to quit when the tabe gets weird.
wineoselle Posted July 12 #36 Posted July 12 i remember folding pocket queens preflop on a whim and the flop came king ace jack, saved my whole stack that night.
acer71jc Posted July 12 #37 Posted July 12 yeah bro poker humbles everyone, even teh goat gets stacked by some random river lol ?
lorelyn7 Posted July 13 #38 Posted July 13 River rage over missed value, that tilt is rugher than a cooler
