Looking for something interesting to watch tonight. I really enjoyed the Formula 1 and basketball docuseries recently. Drop your absolute favorite sports documentaries or series below!

The Last Dance is an obvious pick if you haven't seen it yet, but for something different try Senna - it's incredible even if you're not a huge F1 fan.

If you liked the F1 stuff, check out "Senna" — tbh it hits harder than most fiction films and the archive footage is unreal.

The Dawn Wall is a must-watch if you want something tense and visually stunning, even if you're not into climbing.

If you liked the basketball stuff, Untold: Malice at the Palace on Netflix is crazy, the whole story is way messier than what I remembered live.

I second the two Escobars, that one stuck with me for days after watching it. Also gotta throw in "Hoop Dreams" if you haven't seen it, basically the OG basketball doc that everything else is chasing.

The Barkley Marathons doc is a slow burn but weirdly hypnotic, it's just people gettin lost in the woods for no good reason. Also Senna is solid if you want somethin that feels less like a puff piece and more like an actual film.

I watched "The Battered Bastards of Baseball" on a whim last month and it turned into a whole evening of looking up old Portland Mavericks merch I didn't need.

oh you liked the f1 stuff then you absolutely have to watch "senna", its old but the archive footage they dug up makes it feel so immediate and not like a history lesson at all. honestly it ruined other racing docs for me for a while

Hoop Dreams was alright but if you want something that actually keeps you locked in the whole time go with Senna, the pacing on that one just hits different.

I watched that Icarus doc on netflix a while back, the one about the russian doping scandal. started off as some amateur cycling experiment and then it just spiraled into actual spy moie stuff, was totally glued to it the whole night.

senna gets so much hype but i found it a bit too polished tbh, like a greatest hits reel instead of a raw story. if you want something that actually shows the ugly side of sport try The Battered Bastards of Baseball, its way more chaotic and real.

If you liked the F1 stuff you gotta check out The Race to Perfection on Sky, its not on netflix usually but theres clips online. Really dives into the 90s era and goes beyond what Drive to Survive glossed over.

I caught a BBC doc called "The Four Year Plan" about QPR when they were bought by billionaire investors and it was absolute chaos. Felt like watching a car crash in slow motion, honestly way more gripping than most drama series Ive seen
