Tbh the real test is when you're sitting on 12 and the dealer's showing a 6 — that's where the ninja training either holds or you start second-guessing everything

12 vs 6 is the worst, you're just sitting there hoping the dealer's hiding a 10 and not another small card ready to build a house on you.

That 12 vs 6 stand is literally the final boss of staying calm, you just sit there watching the dealer slowly flip cards like it's a horror movie reveal.

The dealer pulling a 5 then drawing to 21 on a 12 stand is exactly why I only play Evolution blackjack with the early payout button ready, saved my sanity more than once.

The zen approach works until you stare at a hard 15 against a dealer ten and suddenly all that training evaporates. I found that just playing with money I truly don't care about is the only thing that keeps my heart rate flat these days.

i like to narrate the hand out loud like a sportscaster, keeps my brain busy and stops me form doing something stupid out of boredom

The whole ninja path idea hits different when you relaize staying calm on the soft hands is actually ten times harder than the obvious stiff hands. I can stonewall a hard 16 all day but that ace seven against a dealer nine tests my patience way more than it should.

Most people lose their cool on the obvious hands but i alwas crack on a soft 18, somehow pretending its not a problem just makes it worse.
