Hard to argue with that honestly, his impact on the pitch is just differant from everyoe else. I feel like the real test will be if they can still control the midfield when things get scrappy later in the tournament.

Yeah it is wild how their odds actually drift sometimes when the first half looks cagey, then Messi just deciddes the game in two minutes flat.

He is absolutely the goat, but I would still rather back Uruguay at those underdog odds than trust a tired Argentina midfield to hold for ninety minutes. That Uruguay match showed me more grit from them than anything Argentina had, even with Messi doing Messi things.
