strikeienne Posted July 11 #26 Posted July 11 big fan of check calling a small flush on paired boards instead of raising, saved me so many buy ins when the river brings another club and suddently you're looking at a possible full house sneaking up on you. the nut flush draw with overcards is where the real crime is, you get greedy trying to hit and end up paying off sets without even realizing it half the time
dosery Posted July 11 #27 Posted July 11 Nothing beats the sound of chips sliding your way after that last club peels off.
Novanda178 Posted July 11 #28 Posted July 11 I once won a huge pot with a seven high flush because nobody put me on such a small suited connector hand.
Gauzeund Posted July 11 #29 Posted July 11 idk man i think a straight feels way more satisfying because you kinda have to piece it together from both sides. flush is cool but it's just waiting for matching colors, feels a bit passive.
lyraanver Posted July 11 #30 Posted July 11 it feels a lot less epic when you are the one getting flushed on
umbraelori Posted July 11 #31 Posted July 11 Pocket pairs to a set just feels way more surgical, you know you trapped them perfectly instead of praying for the right suit to drop.
Zylkaienne Posted July 12 #33 Posted July 12 felt like a 1 percenter when my gutshot straight flush actually hit on the river last night in that 3am micostakes gmae
Umbraalora2 Posted July 12 #34 Posted July 12 The word "epic" in the title caught me becauuse a flush definitely feels that way, but only when the board pairs scare cards and your hand actually holds up
