zyxureon Posted 23 hours ago #27 Posted 23 hours ago i thought i was good at bluffing turns out i just liked lightnig money on fire
talkingbrush Posted 16 hours ago #28 Posted 16 hours ago no cap playing too many tables and not actually thinking about spots, was just clicking buttons and hoping for the best lol ? ?
myxari Posted 9 hours ago #29 Posted 9 hours ago For me it was callin too many 3bets out of position thinkin I could outplay people postflop when the math just eat you alive slowly. Took forever to admit I just want good enough postflop to be that stubborn.
ladyast Posted 9 hours ago #30 Posted 9 hours ago I kept overvaluign suited connectors in early position like they were premium hands and spewing chips for months before it sunk in.
wickenry Posted 8 hours ago #31 Posted 8 hours ago For me it was auto piloting on paired boards and not respecting when a tight opponent suddenly barrels big on the turn. I started saving those hand histories in a folder called "curiosity calls" and reviewing them showed I was losing way more than I thought, so now I just fold and move on.
sophssa Posted 8 hours ago #32 Posted 8 hours ago i kinda think the whole "one big mistake" thing is overrated, most of us just bleed chips slowly from a dozen small leaks rather than one epic blunder. like for me it wasnt a single fix but accepting taht folding more marginal hands in early position was boring yet did way more for my bottom line than any flashy adjustment ever did.
xoran Posted 6 hours ago #33 Posted 6 hours ago Did taht mistake only show up in ring games or was it worse in tourneys for you?
Runeevora Posted 3 hours ago #34 Posted 3 hours ago I bled way more chips slowplaying monsters than I ever lost chasing draws, soon as I started betting strong hans hard my winrate finally stopped lookng like a rollercoaster.
