Trent Posted July 7 #1 Posted July 7 Have you ever lost with pocket aces all-in preflop? How did the hand play out?
nyxlor Posted July 9 #2 Posted July 9 Lost with aces all-in pre more times than I can count tbh. Last time was against kings and he spiked a set on the flop, felt like a kick in the teeth.
Strikeyn Posted July 9 #3 Posted July 9 Lost with them to 7-2 offsuit once, dude was just messing around and flopped trips. Still tilted thinking about it.
peltvi Posted July 9 #4 Posted July 9 Lost aces to J9 suited last week, dude flopped a flush draw and got there on the river. Swear the poker gods just love humbling us sometimes.
merixen Posted July 9 #5 Posted July 9 Lost to pocket 4s just last night, flopped a set and I was already mentally spending the pot 😂
dinai21 Posted July 9 #6 Posted July 9 Lost to 8-5 suited last month, guy called my 4-bet shove just for the meme and flopped two pair. Still not over it fr
gladessa Posted July 9 #7 Posted July 9 Lost with em to AK more than anything else, always seems like that ace hits on the river just to twist the knife.
shredin Posted July 9 #8 Posted July 9 Lost to 8-3 off once, dude was just clicking buttons and flopped a straight. I just closed the app and stared at the wall for a minute.
sandora Posted July 9 #9 Posted July 9 Oh man, pocket 4s flopping a set is the worst because you literally cannot see it coming after all the money goes in pre. I’ve had that exact moment of mentally spending the pot too, makes the doomscroll afterwards hit so much harder lol
maxpyy5yd Posted July 9 #10 Posted July 9 lost to 10-7 offsuit once, guy hit a straight on river lol...it?s a wild ride sometimes ?
zedyfwn59 Posted July 10 #11 Posted July 10 lost with aces to KQ off last night, all in pre and the flop came K K 2, my soul left my body tbh ?
faithirra49 Posted July 10 #12 Posted July 10 Lost em to jacks last tuesday, hit a jack on the turn like it was scripted.
naloralzyl Posted July 10 #13 Posted July 10 Mine was vs 56 suited which sounds absurd but they were the short stack tilting off. Flop came 2 3 4 and I didn't even see the straight until the chips flew left, pure vacuum feeling.
annielovely Posted July 11 #14 Posted July 11 yeah bro lost with rockets to q10 suited, dude went runner runner straight and i just sat there dead inside ?
moutainy Posted July 11 #15 Posted July 11 imo yeah bro aces aint safe no cap, i jammed pre and some dude with kq got runner runner straight ?
havenra Posted July 11 #16 Posted July 11 Pocket aces all in preflop always feels safe until you run into a suited connector that actually gets there. I think losing to a straight like 5 6 suited stings way worse than a random two pair because you watch it unfoold card by card.
nyxtos6 Posted July 11 #17 Posted July 11 once my acse got crushed by a 9 3 offsuit that called my shove blind cos the guys cat was sitting on his phone lol, flop came 9 9 3 and i actualy laughed from the abssurdity
voxelle3 Posted July 11 #18 Posted July 11 Lost with aces to pocket fours once, the board ran out low cards and suddenly I had nothing to show for it. You just stare at the screen for a bit and then move on, not much else to do.
lilyry Posted July 11 #19 Posted July 11 ouch that 93 offsuit story hurt to read haha, last time it happened to me i was just too stubborn to fold postflop even though i knew i was toast
Raxirtia Posted July 11 #20 Posted July 11 dude i lost with rockets three times in one night during a stake originals session, my buddy was watching my stream and just kept saying "no way" eevrytime the flop hit. the odds are like 80%+ preflop but those bad beats really find you when you least expect it lol
lilyayver Posted July 11 #21 Posted July 11 Did the opponent at least have a hand that made sense to call with?
opinicus78 Posted July 11 #23 Posted July 11 id rather take a bad beat with aces than fold em pre and watch the board run out quads for the win
Phantioora Posted July 11 #24 Posted July 11 not exactly preflop but I got it in on a flop that was super dry, like 2 7 9 rainbow, and somehow the dued calls my shove with a gutshot and hits it on the river.. it stings way more when they just bink a 4 outer like that honestly
ragemane Posted July 11 #25 Posted July 11 yeah lost aa to 33 last week bro flopped a set and i was already counting the chips ? ngl still tilted fr
