Homoki Posted yesterday at 10:22 AM #26 Posted yesterday at 10:22 AM I folded pocket kings preflop last month because the tightest guy at the table 5 bet shoved and he showed aces after, that one fold probably saved my whole session.
autumnlor Posted yesterday at 11:10 AM #27 Posted yesterday at 11:10 AM fold discipline beats fancy bluffs every time in my experiance
doseori Posted yesterday at 11:13 AM #28 Posted yesterday at 11:13 AM Most of the table's just waiting for someone else to make a mistake, so I keep it boring and let them do the work.
ryxioick805 Posted yesterday at 12:01 PM #29 Posted yesterday at 12:01 PM tracking how many times you cbet the flop vs actually having it helps alot, i started checking back way more and my redline doesnt look like a cliff anymore
kazenssa Posted yesterday at 01:09 PM #30 Posted yesterday at 01:09 PM What's the one specific habit you built that helped you stay patient when the cards just aren't falling for an hour straight?
kaiegi8bqf Posted yesterday at 02:06 PM #31 Posted yesterday at 02:06 PM def more skill than luck tbh, but omg when you lose to a crazy river it just hits different ? imo
voxrily96 Posted yesterday at 02:59 PM #32 Posted yesterday at 02:59 PM yeah the luck factor is real short term but over a session its all about who tilts first honestly. my biggest improvement came when i stopped trying to outplay every pot and just focused on folding early when i sensed the table was too aggro.
legacyally85 Posted yesterday at 05:21 PM #33 Posted yesterday at 05:21 PM definitely more skill than luck over timme but i still struggle with knowing when to let go of a decent hand. what's your go to move when the board turns ugly and you already put chips in?
faitharax Posted 12 hours ago #34 Posted 12 hours ago tracking how long you can stay in a session without tilt is a better metric thna counting your chipstacks early on. i set a silent timer for 30 mins and if im still steay i let the discipline do the rest.
Zylkaienne Posted 10 hours ago #35 Posted 10 hours ago I remember one session where I folded AQ preflop three orbits in a row just cause a tight player kept 3betting me, felt so wrong in the moment. Then I finally stacked him with kings when he tried it again, and he typed in chat "always the same hand". That patience really is the whole game.
phanin Posted 9 hours ago #36 Posted 9 hours ago After enough hands, patience always beats chasing gutshots.
