I folded pocket kings preflop last month because the tightest guy at the table 5 bet shoved and he showed aces after, that one fold probably saved my whole session.

yeah the luck factor is real short term but over a session its all about who tilts first honestly. my biggest improvement came when i stopped trying to outplay every pot and just focused on folding early when i sensed the table was too aggro.

definitely more skill than luck over timme but i still struggle with knowing when to let go of a decent hand. what's your go to move when the board turns ugly and you already put chips in?

tracking how long you can stay in a session without tilt is a better metric thna counting your chipstacks early on. i set a silent timer for 30 mins and if im still steay i let the discipline do the rest.

I remember one session where I folded AQ preflop three orbits in a row just cause a tight player kept 3betting me, felt so wrong in the moment. Then I finally stacked him with kings when he tried it again, and he typed in chat "always the same hand". That patience really is the whole game.
