*Sportsbook*

A sportsbook is a place, website, or app where people can place bets on the outcome of sports events.

Examples: NFL games, Premier League, NBA, tennis, boxing, etc.

You bet on things like who will win, the point spread, total points "over/under", or player props.

The sportsbook makes money through the "vig" or "juice" — a small fee built into the odds.

*Sportsbook Discussion*

That means a conversation or analysis about sports betting. It usually covers:

- *Types of bets*: Moneyline, spread, parlays, live/in-play betting, futures

- *Odds & lines*: How odds work, what -110 or +250 means, and how lines move

- *Strategy*: Bankroll management, value betting, analyzing stats and matchups

- *Business side*: How sportsbooks set lines, promos, bonuses, and make profit

- *Legal/Regulations*: What’s allowed in different countries/states and licensing

- *Responsible play*: Risks, limits, and keeping betting recreational

So a "sportsbook discussion" is just talking through how sports betting works — the mechanics, the math, and the industry — not telling you to bet.
