Interesting responses. I also believe they would be on a base + rev share % ..

 

Due to the fact that some host give out extra bonuses while some don’t. I’m sure they can do what they want, when they want, to who they want.. entirely on their own discretion in order to keep player retention

I think you're spot on, most of it must be tied to player losses or activity which is wild to think about. Honestly a streamer once slipped that their host got a nice bonus after they went on a big slot run so it reallly feels like the high rollers directly pay their checks.

I always imagined there's a pretty low flat retainer just to keep them available, then the real money kicks in from net gaming revenue shares. Someone once told me hosts get a list of high risk players to focus on, so they prob sweat the big swings more than we do.

A guy I played poker with years ago ended up doing that job. He said his base was maybe 40k a year but the commission from net losses was insane, like one whale going on a heater could mess up his whole month's pay.
