Just play tight early on honestly, I kept thinkin any suited cards were a license to splash around and my chip stack would vanish in ten minutes flat. The real lightbulb moment for me was realizing position at the table matters almost as much as your actual cards.

man when i started i lost so many chips calling down with second pair like it was the nuts lol. just fold more than you think you need to especially early on and it'll save you a ton of headaches
